Six years before Roswell, a story emerged from Cape Girardeau about a mysterious craft crashing outside the city and the Rev. William G. Huffman being called to the scene to pray over victims said to be unlike anything human.
Over time, reports of military involvement, a missing photograph, and family testimony passed down through generations turned the incident into one of Cape Girardeau’s most enduring mysteries.
